Christmas in February

To all those who sent us some Christmas money, and to those from FBC Eugene who participated in their missionary offering, thanks! We had to wait until after the city riots (see our posts in January), and then our own family war with salmonella and parasites, but now we're mostly better. So last week we celebrated a second Christmas.

Rachel's port-a-crib (which was originally Ben's when we first arrived, and has traveled from house to house) finally bit the dust. So we got the girls bunk beds, though we'll wait a little bit longer to bunk them. In the mean time, the top bed has guard rails on both sides, so it's kinda like a huge crib. The kids all love jumping in it, and Rachel's pleased as punch to be in a "big girl" bed.

And we got Naomi and Ben a couple of trikes. Just before we left, we had gotten Naomi a little Red-Flyer trike for Christmas, but it didn't fit in our luggage, and we were all very sad about that. Yesterday we went to the park with friends, and the kids rode round and round, making them and us very happy.

Thank you for your generosity this Christmas!

Just catching up with you guys...

Glad you are all feeling better. Sounds like some exciting stuff going on down there.

And Dan, your comments about Daryl made me teary. Very sweet and heartfelt.

Glad you are all well!

(Did you EVER get that package I sent?)
