we are still alive
Yes we are still here and alive. Time flies when you finally get to get out of the house.
The political situation here has calmed down for the time being. After Monday of last week people started milling in the streets and the grocery stores opened again. However, there was a tenseness in the Bolivians and people seemed in a hurry to get back home. Police still covered all the bridges and were walking up and down then main streets; just in case.
I went school clothes shopping for the kids on Friday. My friend and I had a good time in La Cancha... prices have gone up but I didn't really want to bargain. Bolivians lost a weeks worth of wages due to everything being closed and when you live day to day... a week is a long time.
the fam.
We have been hanging out at home. School starts on the 5th of February. Right now Naomi is attending VBS at our church. We are so proud of her for going to class all by herself and she even won a prize yesterday for being the best singer in her class. Dan has been enjoying teaching VBS to the 12 to 14 year olds (it seems really old to me to have jr. high in VBS but here it seems to work). It reminds him of his years at Trout Creek except its all in Spanish. Rachel is almost walking... she can walk she is just choosing to crawl. Ben can dress himself and has a special knack for putting all his clothes on backwards. But at least he has clothes on. I have been doing stuff. Shopping for the kids, playing with the kids, and whatever else that fills up my day. I have been working hard to get back into a routine again.
So that's us for now. I need to go resolve a wrestling match between Naomi and Ben. Take care.

I am glad things are better there.
Oh and Joshua used to put all his clothes on backwards to.
Good to hear everyone is safe and sound. Do the kiddos have any idea what is going on?
